Deer gets into a local school today!
Here is some local weird news for today. In my town one of the schools was shut down because a deer got in a wrecked a bunch of stuff. We have a lot of snow days by living in Minnesota, but I have never heard of a “deer day”. Funny stuff.
Today we will be going on our annual fall retreat. This years schedule we will be heading up to Minneapolis to go to Thousand Foot Crutch/Hawk Nelson concert, then tomorrow we will be colleting food for the food shelf, then off to the Mall of America for Camp Snoopy. It should be a good time.
Here is the story about the deer:
This morning, police officers were called to Kennedy Elementary School about a deer that had jumped through a window into the school.
Upon arrival, officers met with school officials who had confined the deer into an empty classroom. The deer jumped through a window and entered a classroom where there were only teachers present. School officials sealed off the area and contacted the police.
While police officers were making arrangements to have the deer tranquilized, the deer succumbed to its injuries and died in the classroom.
No one was injured during the incident.

Sounds like a story I heard about on news radio yesterday. A horse got out of its corral and into the street where it ran smack into an oncoming car. The horse damaged the front of the vehicle and crashed right through the windshield. The horse was able to free itself and wasn’t much harmed. The driver was fine as well–just a little stunned!
