Last night and today was our annual 30 Hour Famine Junior High lock-in. If you haven’t heard of the 30 Hour famine, it is an event where students go with out food for 30 Hours to feel what it would be like to be hungry. The during the month before students raise funds for World Vision to fight hunger. This was our 7th year we have done it with our junior high students. This year they broke all records and they raised almost $4200. This year the government is going give 7 dollars for every dollar raised at the famine. So that brings to total to almost $30,000. Who-Hoo! It is always a lot of fun, however I only got 3 hours of sleep last night and tonight we leap forward for daylight savings, so needless to say I will be very tired tomorrow.

We are having a new Lead pastor candidate tomorrow so this is a big deal. It looks like it is going to be a slam dunk with this guy. He is very solid and it looks like he will be a great fit at our church.

I have not given my resume to the church that wants it yet. Today, the pastor called and wondered if I wanted to meet him again, but this time with their junior high guy. I guess I won’t be very secretive anymore, I am currently a junior high pastor and they want me to check out the senior high position at this church. I really am not sure I am called to high school ministry. I really like being a junior high pastor. Oh man….choices…choices..
